My name is Howard Wadsworth, you will probably be dealing with me on the rental. My wife Annettee and I have have been married for 23 years and have two beautiful girls, age 11, and 7. We are from Auburn, Alabama, in east central Alabama just four hours north of our famous white sand beaches. For the past 26 years I have owned a jewelry business specializing in loose diamonds and fine diamond jewelry and Annettee has been selling local cable TV advertising for almost 20 years. We both love to travel with our children to the beach or to our lake cabin nearby.

Why the Owner Chose Tradewinds

We bought our unit at Tradewinds because we knew it was going to be a great location to spend precious vacation time. The family atmosphere on the beach is unmatched. Our kids always find play buddies and we have made many new friends on the beach there.

We love Adventure Island! Go Karts, Putt-putt golf, laser tag plus much more! Having a major area amusement park right across the road is a huge plus. Tradewinds is located just minutes from grocery stores and is convenient to everything!
My wife and I both frequented the area before we met and always referred to the Gulf Shores/Orange Beach area as "the beach" . We have many happy memories there and we feel at home there. We know the good restaurants where the locals eat and the special places to visit. I'll be glad to share these with you. The area has a unique feel and truly is a place where everyone feels at ease. It's quaint but not stuffy, fun but not too rowdy. If you are looking for a family atmosphere or if you want to kick up your heels a little, Orange Beach is the place!

The Unique Benefits at this Condo

Very few vacationers have the opportunity to enjoy a view like this. Most of the gulf front units at Tradewinds have a single smaller balcony. We have a generous double balcony with a dining table. Since no one can see in, except the sea gulls, you can enjoy your privacy with the drapes wide open all day! At this height you can still hear the waves and feel the wind but not hear the pool noise. My favorite thing to do at least once every trip is to visit the local seafood grocery and have them prepare a seafood dinner and bring it back to the condo to enjoy. Steamed shrimp, gumbo, fresh baked bread, whoa! ...it really doesn't get any better than this! Barefoot dining at it's finest.
We also have one of the areas only outdoor heated pools for the spring guests.
